...There is very little news from America. In the absence of new facts, may we speculate upon the fate of the Queen's letter and the shoals of addresses of condolence from England to America on Lincoln's murder? Did they all go down in the Atlantic? or are we waiting till the completion of the telegraphic cable to hear that there is some response to the first at least--to an act so spontaneous, graceful, womanly, and Queenly?
