[The Commissioners of Customs]

The Commissioners of Customs have issued a general order to the collectors at the various ports that, in pursuance of instructions from the Lords of the Treasury, "no ship of war belonging to either of the belligerent Powers of North America shall be allowed to enter any of her Majesty's ports for the purpose of being dismantled or sold."
