...The Alabama.--In answer to a question from Lord Derby, Earl Russell stated he had ascertained that Mr. Seward had written to Mr. Adams the despatch referring to the demand of indemnification for the losses sustained by the commerce of the North from the captures made by the Alabama. Mr. Adams had received that despatch, but had not communicated it.
