...The collection of finished pictures and sketches of the American artist, Mr. J. F. Cropsey, illustrating the grand and beautiful scenery in America, as well as views in other countries, embracing in all 125 finished works, including his last fine landscape, "Richmond Hill," was on Wednesday disposed of by Messrs. Foster. The whole realised about 1200 guineas.
...It is affirmed, on authority, that the frank explanations of Mr. Adams, the American Ambassador, have softened down the disagreement occasioned by his giving a certificate to the vessel which sailed to Matamoras a few days since.
